Description
I ventured into the care sector during my first year of university. My mother has been a carer and currently works as a mental health nurse. She has always shared her experience with me, helping me understand what it takes to be a carer and what to expect. Her guidance and inspiration have been instrumental in my decision to become a carer and now I’m currently studying for my MSc in Mental Health Nursing.
I find it fulfilling to look after people, helping them maintain their independence and everyday lives. I enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and learning about their life experiences. When working with female clients, I feel a sense of connection, and we can relate to each other easily.
I have worked in various care settings, including residential, community, forensic hospital, care homes, and nursing homes. My experience working as a carer has equipped me with skills such as compassion, effective communication, observation, attentiveness, organization, patience, and empathy.
Outside of care, I am a makeup artist with a passion for creating unique looks for myself and my clients. I have been doing this for a few years and find it enjoyable. I also love cooking, and while I wouldn't call myself a chef, I enjoy preparing meals for family and friends. During the first lockdown, I started a small business making meals for people to order which was a great experience; I still do it from time to time. I also enjoy working out at home and in the gym, constantly challenging myself to set and achieve my fitness goals.
If you would love to have me as your carer feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
With sincere gratitude
